Biography Grumpy BRIAN DAMAGE met KRYSSTAL his glamorous assistant, at THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL in 2000. They teamed up immediately to record their own excellent CD Silly Songs and form a unique act which they have performed in places as diverse as JOHANNESBURG (South Africa), AUSTRALIA, SCOTLAND, IRELAND, SPAIN, GOZO, DENMARK and all over the UK. Brian and Krysstal have appeared five years running at THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL and also performed at international festivals such as GLASTONBURY, LONDON COMEDY FESTIVAL, ADELAIDE & MELBOURNE COMEDY FESTIVALS & WOODFORD FOLK FESTIVAL 2005 Wherever they go their baggage goes with them, including several musical instruments (not always musical in their hands!) and many years of experience in the entertainment industry. Much of this baggage spills forth during their unconventional vaudeville style act, punctuated by occasional silly songs, the odd bit of Spanish dancing and loads of belly laughs. Brian and Krysstal also run and compere Pear Shaped Comedy Club every Wednesday in Central London. Apart from regular live appearances Brian and Krysstal are not averse to TV, radio or any other media performances. They write scripts and songs and have hosted corporate functions, private parties and are suitable for many types of comedy-based events! KRYSSTAL Actress Vicky de Lacy appears with Brian Damage as KRYSSTAL one of many characters she has developed during her career. She has been a professional performer for over 20 years. Her career has encompassed theatre, television, film, video, singing, cabaret, voice over and stand up comedy. In the early 90's she co-founded and managed the successful Iron Cove Theatre and later went on to form the company Rare Birds Productions. Rare Birds produces theatre, short films, corporate videos, documentaries, and comedy/cabaret shows. Vicky was based for many years in Sydney and in August 2000 she took her one-woman show "JOURNEY TO ITHACA" to the Edinburgh Festival. The show went on to enjoy a brief season in London (East Dulwich Theatre & The Fitzroy) and short tours in regional venues (2002-4). It was in Edinburgh 2000 that she met BRIAN DAMAGE, and since then they have worked together as a comedy double act in numerous venues in the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Australia. BRIAN DAMAGE For more years than he cares to remember BRIAN DAMAGE has entertained psychopaths and lunatics in London pubs, workingmen's clubs and sanatoriums. As a musician he has always been a comedian, but in 1996 he discovered the London Comedy Circuit, and decided to take comedy as a serious option! Brian won the JONGLEURS New Act Competition in April '98 and has never looked back - that is until he met KRYSSTAL, now he ís looking constantly over his shoulder, wondering what on earth she ís up to. Brian has earned legendary status on the comedy circuit, a favourite with the crowd and other performers alike. His affable grumpy persona, with his trusty guitar a permanent feature, is guaranteed to charm and delight audiences wherever he goes. If anyone deserves to have a glamorous assistant Brian does!
